In 2012, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon launched the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) to mobilize global scientific and technological knowledge to promote the solution of practical problems for sustainable development, including design and implementation of the SDGs at local, national, and global scales.

In 2015, SDSN launched (SDSN Youth) to empower young people globally to create sustainable development solutions. Through the SDG Student Program, SDSN Youth engages higher education students in the global effort on Sustainable Development Goals and offers opportunities to pioneer innovative solutions to address the world's greatest challenges.

SDG Student Program

The SDG Student Hub raised awareness about what the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are. Coordinated related research and outreach educational activities twice a month toto engage the Seneca College student body.

Education Events

Operating with more than 160 members, the Hub facilitated a global network of student hubs, empowered students with the knowledge, skills, and pathways opportunities to learn about, engage with, and take action on the SDGs.

Implemented the SDGs in the Seneca College community. Supported students through research and engagement to become motivators and seeders of new SDGs solutions to local and global problems.
